HGV Workshop Service Agreements

HGV Workshop Service Agreements

All Commercial Vehicle and Tachograph test equipment can be found on the approved list in the DVSA Tachograph Centre/MOT Testers manual.

The initial commissioning of all test equipment supplied by Continental Automotive Trading UK Ltd includes twelve months warranty and two calibration's (the initial calibration and one at 6 months after the initial calibration).

Continental Automotive Trading UK Ltd offer an array of service agreements for all the equipment they supply:

  • Premium Service Agreement


    The premium service agreement contains the following benefits on one roller brake tester (RBT) or rolling road (RR):

    • 2 x legislative calibrations and certification (one every 6 months)
    • Visual inspection of the equipment
    • Software updates (where applicable)
    • Phone/email support by qualified and experienced personnel (Mon-Fri, 8am - 5pm UK time)
    • Remote diagnostics and repair - for PC and software (Mon-Fri, 8am - 5pm UK time)
    • Service (lubrication of the RR / lubrication and adjustment of the RBT, where appropriate)
    • Related Tachograph equipment will be calibrated (covered in 'WST + CTC RIM Calibration' agreement)
    • Callouts (including on site emergency visits)
    • Labour on site (including carrying out repairs)

    Please note: A report will be made on the condition of the equipment and any rectification or maintenance requirements, any parts needed will be charged in the normal way, unless under warranty. This agreement is for the UK mainland only.

  • Standard Service Agreement


    The standard service agreement contains the following benefits on one roller brake tester (RBT) or rolling road (RR):

    • 2 x legislative calibrations and certification (one every 6 months)
    • Visual inspection of the equipment
    • Software updates (where applicable)
    • Phone/email support by qualified and experienced personnel (Mon-Fri, 8am - 5pm UK time)
    • Remote diagnostics and repair - for PC and software (Mon-Fri, 8am - 5pm UK time)
    • Service (lubrication of the RR / lubrication and adjustment of the RBT, where appropriate)
    • Related Tachograph equipment will be calibrated (covered in 'WST + CTC RIM Calibration' agreement)
    • Callouts (including on site emergency visits)
    • Labour on site (including carrying out repairs)

  • Basic Service Agreement


    The basic service agreement contains the following benefits on one roller brake tester (RBT) or rolling road (RR):

    • 2 x legislative calibrations and certification (one every 6 months)
    • Visual inspection of the equipment
    • Software updates (where applicable)
    • Phone/email support by qualified and experienced personnel (Mon-Fri, 8am - 5pm UK time)
    • Remote diagnostics and repair - for PC and software (Mon-Fri, 8am - 5pm UK time)
    • Callouts (including on site emergency visits) charged at £200.00
    • Labour on site (including carrying out repairs) charged at £75.00 per hour (minimum 3 hours)

    Please note: A report will be made on the condition of the equipment and any rectification or maintenance requirements, any parts needed will be charged in the normal way, unless under warranty.

  • Workshop Tablet Service Agreements


    WST2 / WST / CTC2 Calibration*

    This agreement covers 2 calibration visits (one every 6 months) on 1 x BlueMeter, 1 x Workshop Link, and 1 x TyreMeterPro

    WST2 and CTC RIM Calibration*

    This agreement covers 2 calibration visits (one every 6 months) on 1 x BlueMeter, 1 x Workshop Link, 1 x TyreMeterPro, and 1 x CTC Roller Interface Module

    WST2 Premium Service Agreement**

    The is a 36-month service agreement and contains the following benefits:

    • Automatic on-line updates whenever a new piece of software or license is released
    • 3-year extended warranty
    • 3 years of tablet calibrations (6 visits in total, every 6 months)
    • Service hotline
    • Quick replacement service
    • Seal and KITAS tracking software
    • VDO Hub (training, online database, technical data and much more)
    • 2 x Elearning recert courses within the 36 months
    • Remote maintenance
    • Automatic Inclusion in Europe wide preferred partner scheme

    *These agreements will cover only the products listed, depending on what the customer purchased, and can be paid in full for 12 months or by direct debit if switching to a WST 2 with 36 month service agreement

    **Bespoke monthly agreements are available - option to include relevant brake tester or rolling road silver/gold service within the contract

  • Additional Services


    Clean room item

    £95.00 per item and each item needs to be returned to Birmingham

    Quality audit

    £250.00 per tester. A quality audit is intended to be carried out at 6 monthly intervals. VDO reserve the right to change this to be done remotely if applicable.

    Callout

    Each callout is charged at £200.00 plus labour at 75.00 per hour (a minimum of 3 hours labour will be charged)
