Continental's high quality brake testing equipment is sourced from BM Solutions in Denmark, and supported by our own dedicated team of sales managers, engineers and technical service support.
BM have developed unique Load Simulation systems, such as the BM74 Load Simulator which applies the load simulation directly from top-down onto the vehicle. This system was developed for the Vehicle Operator Safety Administration (VOSA) in Great Britain, and is today installed in more than 50 official vehicle inspection lanes in Scotland, England, and Wales.
Below are the various systems available which can be installed or retrofitted to the brake testers:
The Load Simulator is powered by an electrical pallet truck and therefore easily moved around by one person. The operator moves the load simulator to its position, which can be either behind – or at the side of the vehicle.
The Load Simulator is fully controlled from a control panel placed conveniently at the rear of the pallet truck. The operator just enters the load simulation requested and presses START, the Load Simulator’s computer system will then automatically apply the load.
The Load Simulator has a number of unique advantages such as, the Load Simulator applies the load from top-down, which means that the Load Sensing Valve/Function as well as the suspension system of the vehicle is activated during test.
The CLS load simulation can come in various 'Types' consisting of different set ups such as cassettes rolling on rails placed on the edges of the inspection pit or skates rolling on rails fitted to the floor of the inspection pit.
These systems feature a range of options that allows for a customised configuration, which can meet customers individual requirements.
This load simulation is easily retrofitted or installed to the sides of the subframes on the heavy goods vehicle in-ground brake testers.
